Boy dies in Tseung Kwan O accident

*
Hong Kong Police

A seven-year-old boy was killed in a Tseung Kwan O traffic accident this afternoon.

Around 1.35pm, a private car was travelling along Choi Ming Street. Near the roundabout outside Choi Ming Court's Choi Fu House it reportedly knocked down the boy who was cycling along the road.

The boy was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital, where he was certified dead at 1.58pm.

The 37-year-old car driver left the scene but returned later and was arrested for perverting the course of justice.

Anyone who saw the accident or has information is asked to call the Kowloon East special traffic investigation team on 2305 7575 or 2305 7500.
