Office of the Telecommunications Authority

The Office of the Telecommunications Authority and the Police have today laid charges against Citizens' Radio and three men in connection with three enforcement operations the authority mounted against suspected use and establishment of unlicensed radio broadcasts and equipment.

They will appear in Eastern Magistrates' Courts on December 15.

The operations were mounted on October 4 at Mong Kok, October 13 at Chai Wan, and October 18 at Wan Chai.

The maximum penalty for such offences, upon summary conviction, is a $50,000 fine and two years' imprisonment.
