49 more civil celebrants of marriages named
*
Immigration Department

The Immigration Department has appointed another 49 civil celebrants of marriages, bringing the total number of civil celebrants appointed to 1,071.

Up to the end of October, about 6,400 couples have filed their marriage notices through civil celebrants and 4,200 couples have had the celebrants solemnise their marriages.

People welcome the Civil Celebrants of Marriages Scheme as they have more choices and greater convenience in making arrangements for their weddings. More intended marrying parties are expected to choose to have the celebrants solemnise their marriages during the peak nuptials season later this year.

More details about the scheme are available here. Click here to see a full list of appointed civil celebrants of marriages. For enquiries, call the department's hotline, 2824 6111.
