Hong Kong Police

Police have arrested five men and two women for possession of an imitation firearm and ammunition in Yau Ma Tei.

Officers stopped two men, aged 31 and 34, inside an amusement game centre on Nathan Road at 9.50am yesterday.

An air pistol was found inside the shoulder bag of one them. Officers then raided another premises in Reclamation Street where five machetes, a sickle knife, a wooden pole, an air pistol, a toy gun, and a simulated grenade containing flash powder was found.

Three men, aged 24 to 50, and two women, aged 19 and 17, were arrested for possession of ammunition and possession of instrument fit and intended for unlawful purpose.

All are believed to have triad backgrounds and are being detained for further enquiries.
