Taxi driver dies in Lok Ma Chau crash

A 52-year-old taxi driver died after he reportedly fell unconscious behind the wheel and his car rammed into the central divider on Fanling Highway early this morning.

 

He was driving towards Sheung Shui with two passengers at about 1:30am near the Lok Ma Chau roundabout when the incident occurred.

 

He was sent to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 2.30am.

 

The New Territories North special traffic investigation team is looking into the mishap. Anyone who saw the accident is urged to contact the duty officer on 2675 3325.
