A 39-year-old Police Constable has been charged for shooting a 44-year-old colleague. He will appear in Eastern Magistracy tomorrow.
The victim and his partner were on patrol about 6.30pm yesterday, when they stopped the off-duty constable in a pedestrian subway near Aberdeen Praya Road. The constable had been on sick leave and was reported missing.
A struggle ensued and the off-duty officer snatched another officer's revolver and a shot was fired before he was subdued and arrested.
The wounded officer is in stable condition at Queen Mary Hospital.
