Fraud suspect extradited from Greece
*
Hong Kong Police

A 60-year-old woman wanted in connection with a $15 million deception case has been extradited from Greece. She will face nine counts of obtaining services by deception at Eastern Magistracy August 21.

The suspect ran a local travel agency receiving Japanese tour groups. In April 1996 she issued post-dated cheques to several hotels and a bus company. Eight cheques bounced. On May 16, 1996 the agency closed and the suspect disappeared.

Last October Interpol in Athens told Hong Kong Police that the woman had been arrested at the airport, and arrangements were then made to send her back to Hong Kong.
