Dah Sing Bank clients targetted in scam

*
Monetary Authority logo

The Monetary Authority has warned of a recorded phone-message scam inviting Dah Sing Bank customers to call 3078 9791 to register their account number and the related personal identification number.

The bank said neither it nor Dah Sing Financial Group and its subsidiaries have a connection with the fraudulent phone system. It referred the case to the Police.

Anyone who has provided personal information to the system or has conducted any transactions through it should call the bank's customer hotline on 2828 8000, or any local Police Station or the Commercial Crime Bureau on 2860 5012.

The authority urged people to beware of possible fake systems which claim to represent banks or financial institutions, asking for their personal or account information.
