4 charged with dangerous drugs possession
*

Police have charged four people, two men and two women, with possession of dangerous drugs. They were among 10 people arrested in Tai Po on Monday following a wounding case in Tuen Mun.

During the arrests, Police seized a gun.

Two suspects, one armed with a pistol-like-object, approached a shop at Leung Tin Tsuen, Tuen Mun, about 1am on Monday, and threatened a 50-year-old man. He put up a struggle with the assistance of other people inside the shop.

The suspects fled and left behind a bullet and a pistol magazine containing four bullets. The victim did not report the case to Police until 14 hours later. At about 5.45pm, Police received another report that 15 rounds of ammunition were found abandoned inside a hotel room in Tin Shui Wai.

Officers arrested two men and two women, aged 16 to 47, in a Tai Po flat at 2am Tuesday, and 70g of ketamine was also seized. A gun hidden underneath a metal drainage cover near a hillside in Tai Wo Estate was found.

Police later arrested another three men and three women, aged 17 to 27 in Kowloon.

The four facing drug possession charges will appear in Fanling Magistrates' Courts this morning. The remaining three men and three women were released on bail pending further enquiries.
