7 arrested as $1m in counterfeit goods seized
*

Customs officers have seized $1 million worth of counterfeit goods and arrested seven men in a crackdown on copy-watch touting activities in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday.

Customs officers seized about 2,000 counterfeit goods worth about $1 million, including clothes, leather goods and watches, in three counterfeit goods showrooms in Peking Road, Humphreys Avenue, and Nathan Road.

They arrested seven Southeast Asian men, aged 25 to 36, suspected of touting in the street and selling counterfeit goods at the showrooms.

Investigations are continuing.
