First customs dog training in Yunnan complete
*

Three Customs & Excise Department dog handlers and three canines have completed the first training course at Ruili Detector Dog Base in Yunnan.

Assistant Commissioner of Customs & Excise Chow Kwong led a delegation to attend the closing ceremony of the first Dog Handler & Detector Dog Training Course at the base on May 27.

In December the Hong Kong and Mainland customs agencies signed a co-operation agreement on the training of drug detector dogs. Hong Kong will send 12 officers to train at the base in four separate courses over the next year. Three handlers and three dogs will be trained in each course.
