Alert issued on two bogus websites
*

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority warns the public to beware of two fraudulent websites which look similar to the official Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited website.

They are www.standardcharteredhk.net and www.standardchartereds.com/~baritone/images/SC/startibank.htm.

The bank clarified that it has no connection with these websites and has reported the case to the Police.

Anyone who has provided personal information through the websites or conducted any financial transactions through them should contact Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) at 2886 8868 and the Police Commercial Crime Bureau at 2860 5012, or any Police station.
