A Stanley Prison inmate has been hospitalised after being attacked by two fellow prisoners.

The 32-year-old victim and three others were attacked about 8.45am. The two assailants were stopped by Correctional Services Department officers, and the victim was sent to Queen Mary Hospital with head and facial injuries.

The incident is being investigated by the department, and a Police report has also been issued.
