Supermarket supervisor charged for bribery
*
ICAC

A former Wellcome Supermarkets senior category supervisor has been charged for bribery.

David Wong, 43, faces seven counts of accepting advantages, and four of dealing with property known to represent proceeds of an indictable offence. He will appear at Eastern Magistracy tomorrow.

He allegedly accepted advantages from two suppliers between February and October, in relation to the sale of meat and fish balls at Wellcome stores.

The remaining charges allege he dealt sums of money representing the proceeds of an indictable offence, namely an agent accepting an advantage, between June and October.

The suspected crime proceeds originated from chips offered by one of the suppliers and which the defendant had used for gambling.
