Police will mount a four-week Hong Kong-wide blitz against bad driving from October 30.
Officers will watch for speeding, dangerous or careless driving, and ignoring traffic signals, which are major causes of accidents.
There have been more than 11,000 accidents involving casualties this year, down 0.6% on the same period last year. Major causes have been tailgating, vehicles losing control, speeding, changing lanes carelessly and negligence.
