Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O in which a 21-year-old man was killed.

About 11.30pm yesterday he was driving a car on Clear Water Bay Road when it lost control near Wing Lung Road in Hang Hau and veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a minibus.

Trapped in the car, the driver had to be freed by firemen. Sustaining serious injuries, he was rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital and later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 6am. A 55-year-old male minibus passenger was slightly injured.
