Three regulations have been gazetted to implement sanctions against Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
They are the United Nations Sanctions (Cote d'Ivoire) Regulation, the United Nations Sanctions (Sudan) (Amendment) Regulation 2005, and the United Nations Sanctions (Democratic Republic of Congo) (Amendment) Regulation 2005.
The Commerce, Industry & Technology Bureau said the regulations give effect to instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to implement sanctions imposed by United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1572, 1591 and 1596.
