CD copying machines seized

Customs-&-Excise-90X60

Customs officers have arrested a man and seized five optical-disc mastering and replication machines, worth about $1 million. They were seized from an outgoing 40-foot container truck in an anti-smuggling operation at Lok Ma Chau Control Point.

Shortly before 1pm yesterday, officers x-rayed the container declared to be loaded with sand, sand ejection machines and accessories, and found the illegal items and arrested the 29-year-old man.

A licence is required for importing and exporting such machines.
