Driver dies in Tsz Wan Shan crash

*
Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed in Tsz Wan Shan. People who saw the incident or have information to offer should contact investigating officers at 2305 7575 or 2305 7500.

At about 3.30am, the motorcyclist was travelling along Chuk Yuen Road towards Chuk Yuen North Estate. Near Tin Ma Court, the motocycle reportedly collided with a private car travelling in the same direction and then rammed into a stationary light goods vehicle at a lay-by.

He was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 3.55am.

After the crash, the private car left the scene and was later located in a carpark in Chuk Yuen South Estate. The 27-year-old male driver was subsequently arrested for drink driving and dangerous driving causing death.

Investigations continue.
