*
Hong Kong Police

Police are appealing for information on the body of a baby girl found at a Tuen Mun refuse collection station.

At about 1.15am today, a 44-year-old woman found the naked baby inside a plastic bag at the station near Leung King Shopping Centre. With an umbilical cord and placenta still attached, the newborn was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital and certified dead at 2.19am.

A post-mortem revealed that no external wound was found on her body. The cause of death could not be ascertained, and toxicological examination results are pending.

Anyone with information should contact investigators on 2456 5203.
