10 arrested as drug networks shut down

*
Hong Kong Police

Police have neutralised two street-level drug trafficking syndicates active in Sha Tin, arresting nine men and a woman.

After more than two months' investigation, 12 locations were raided today, mainly Sha Tin residences.

About 103 grams of suspected No.4 heroin and 52 tablets of suspected midazolam were seized. The heroin has a market value of about $36,000.

A quantity of weapons, including sharpened water pipes and kitchen knives, were also found.

The suspects, aged 25 to 64, were arrested for trafficking in dangerous drugs. They are being detained for enquiries.
