Man dies in Tsim Sha Tsui traffic accident

*
Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tsim Sha Tsui in which a 56-year-old man was killed.

At about 7am, a private car travelling westbound along Austin Road reportedly lost control when it attempted to change lanes near the Gun Club Hill Barracks.

The car ran onto the pavement and knocked down two men, aged 56 and 63.

They were sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where the younger man was certified dead before arrival.

The 28-year-old driver was later arrested for drink driving.

Kowloon West's Special Investigation Team for Traffic is investigating.

Anyone who witnessed the accident is urged to contact investigating officers on 2380 6052.
