28 arrested in anti-drugs raid, woman dies
*
Hong Kong Police

Police arrested 25 men and three women in an anti-drugs operation in Mong Kok this evening, in which a woman died trying to escape through a window.

Mong Kok Special Duty Squad officers raided a unit at 952 Canton Road at about 9pm. As they entered, a 23-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man tried to escape by climbing out of the window.

The woman accidentally fell to the ground floor and sustained serious injuries while the man fell onto a fifth-floor awning and injured his right thigh.

Firemen rescued the pair and sent them to Kwong Wah Hospita where the woman was certified dead at 10.39pm.

Police arrested 25 men and three women, aged 20 to 45, and seized 80 small packets of suspected heroin.

Kowloon West's Regional Crime Unit is now investigating.
