Warning issued on bogus website

*
SFC Logo

People should beware of fraudulent website www.daifook.com, the Securities & Futures Commission says, adding that it has no relation to Tai Fook Securities Group whose website is www.taifook.com.

The commission said suspected scam websites can either be swindlers using the sites to offer too-good-to-be-true investment opportunities which are bogus, or fraudulent copycat sites which imitate those of reputable financial institutions to lure investors to part with their money and disclose personal information.

Recently, it has come to the commission's attention that boiler-room activities and scam websites have become more active.

If you wish to find out more about boiler-room operations and scam websites, please refer to Boiler Room Operations, Scam Websites and Fraudulent Copycat Websites.
