Abandoned newborn girl
Abandoned: Police are seeking relatives of this newborn girl, found in a trash bin in Yuen Long.
*

Police are anxious to locate relatives of a newborn girl found abandoned in Yuen Long on Sunday.

At about 6 pm, a man was taking out his trash when he heard crying. He found the baby in a rubbish in Ping Shan San Tuen, Tin Shui Wai and called Police.

The baby weighs about 2.9 kilograms and is about 48.5 centimetres long.

She was wearing a pair of white short pants with blue flowers, was wrapped in a white towel with a blue stripe, and put inside a black rubbish bag with two napkins.

Police urge relatives or anyone with information to contact the investigating officers at 2448 5256.
