Police appeal for info on speedboat crash
*
Hong Kong Police

Police appeal to members of the public who saw the collision of two speedboats in Kau Sai Chau, Sai Kung, last night in which a 35-year-old was killed to contact investigating officers.

The collision occurred at about 10pm, just off the Kai Lung Wan Fish Culture Zone.

A 35-year-old passenger and a 19-year-old boat master on board one of the speedboats were injured and sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital. The passenger was certified dead at 10.46pm. The master was treated and discharged.

Police enquiries suggest there were about five or six passengers on board the other speedboat, which fled the crash scene before officers arrived.

They are urged to contact the Marine Police's Regional Crime Unit to provide information.

Anyone who saw the collision or has information to offer is also urged to contact the investigating officers, on 2803 6163 or 2803 6177.
