4 more arrested at jewellery show

Police have arrested four more people at the HK International Jewellery Show at the Convention & Exhibition Centre.

 

About 11am today, Police intercepted two Mainland men, aged 24 and 33, found stealing 20 pearls worth US$3,000.

 

Another two Mainland men, aged 26 and 32, were arrested at 2.30pm and a quantity of gems worth about US$1,000 were seized.

 

The four have been detained for questioning.

 

Police will continue to maintain close liaison with the organiser and venue management to help secure the event, and strengthen exhibitors' crime prevention awareness.
