Beware of a fraudulent website with the domain name www.onlinebea.com. The Monetary Authority says it looks very similar to the Bank of East Asia's official website. However, the bank has clarified it has no affiliation with it.

The bank has reported the case to Police for investigation. Police will liaise with overseas authorities to take appropriate action on the site.

Anyone who has dealings with the website, or has conducted any transactions through it should contact Police on 2860 5012 and the bank on 3407 2018.
