*

Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee will leave Hong Kong today for a duty visit to the US and Canada.

He will fly to San Francisco en route to Washington DC. During the brief stopover, he will update local media on the latest security situation in Hong Kong.

While in Washington DC, Mr Lee will meet officials from the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and the FBI. He will also address a lunch meeting hosted by the Centre for Strategic & International Studies.

The last leg of the visit is to Ottawa, where Mr Lee will meet local law enforcement agencies, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Canadian Border Security Agency and Citizenship & Immigration Canada.

He will depart Ottawa for Hong Kong on February 24.
