Man charged in North Point murder
*

Police today charged a 48-year-old man with one count of murder in connection with the murder of a 31-year-old man in North Point yesterday.

 

He will appear in Eastern Magistrates' Courts tomorrow. Two other men were released on bail pending further investigations.

 

Shortly after 5am yesterday, a report was made to Police that a man was injured in a flat at 277 King's Road.

 

Police officers found the man who had sustained neck injuries. A chopper was found at the scene.

 

He was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where he was certified dead at about 5.26am.

 

A post-mortem revealed that he died of a cut to his neck.

 

Three men, aged 48 to 64, found inside the flat were been arrested.

The Eastern District Crime Squad is investigating the case.
