Secretary for Justice Elsie Leung will visit Nanjing and Shanghai on December 11 and 12.
There, she will sign co-operation agreements to foster more professional information exchanges and training opportunities between Hong Kong and the two cities.
On December 11, she will call on officials of the Nanjing Municipal Government, the Bureau of Justice and local legal practitioners.
The co-operation agreement between Hong Kong and the Nanjing Bureau of Justice will also be signed on that day.
Seminar to help strengthen Shanghai-HK cooperation
In Shanghai, Ms Leung will meet with officials of the Ministry of Justice, the Shanghai Bureau of Justice, the Shanghai Municipal Government, the Municipal People's Congress, the People's Court and the People's Procuratorate.
She will also attend a seminar on strengthening the co-operation between Shanghai and Hong Kong legal practitioners on December 12. This will be followed by the co-operation agreement signing ceremony.
Hong Kong Law Society and Hong Kong Bar Association will sign co-operation agreements with the Shanghai Lawyers Association on the same occasion.
