Illegal foot masseurs arrested

*

Two female two-way permit holders and two employers have been arrested in Happy Valley during an operation against illegal employment.

The two Mainlanders were found providing reflexology services to customers. One of them had a forged HK ID card.

This was the first joint operation by the Labour Department and Police targeted at foot reflexology parlours.

In the four-hour operation, eight Labour and nine Police officers raided 11 reflexology shops and checked the identity of 65 employees.

In the first eight months of this year, the department conducted 17 joint operations with other disciplined services, which is 113% more than the eight operations last year.
