Police have arrested a 31-year-old man following a weapons seizure in Cheung Sha Wan.
Kowloon West Crime officers received intelligence a month ago that a gang was believed to have weapons for criminal activities.
After extensive investigations, officers successfully identified a core member of the group and a flat suspected to be storing the weapons.
At about 3.30pm today, officers raided the unit in Lei Cheng Uk Estate and seized a stun gun, two iron rods, a beef knife and four air pistols.
Also found was equipment for manufacturing imitation bombs, including wires, batteries, plastic tape, a bullet shell, a test tube with brown powder and three small plastic bags of brown powder.
The man was arrested inside the unit for possession of arms without a licence and possession of offensive weapons. He is being detained for enquiries while the exhibits will be further examined to see if they have been used in criminal activities.
