Man charged in assault on Police

Hong Kong Police

Police have charged a 44-year-old man who attacked a group of officers on Tuesday night.

 

He faces counts of assaulting Police officers, assault causing actual bodily harm and wounding with intent.

 

He reportedly attacked a Police officer who came to his home in Tsing Yi Estate to serve traffic summonses at about 4.30pm on May 20. Three more officers who came to assist were also injured.

 

The man will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistracy on May 23.

 

The Police Force said violence against officers will not be tolerated.
