Hong Kong Police

Police have smashed a dangerous-drugs manufacturing and packaging centre in Yuen Long after arresting a 23-year-old man and seizing about $1 million worth of dangerous drugs.

After a month-long investigation, officers from the Regional Special Duty Squad, Regional Anti-triad Unit, and Regional Crime Unit in the New Territories North

The officers raided a village hut at Ho Pui Tsuen, near Pat Heung and arrested a 23-year-old man.

They found manufacturing and packaging tools including a blender, caffeine, plastic straws, and an electronic scale inside the hut.

Police also seized 700 grams of suspected No. 4 heroin, 800 grams of suspected methylamphetamine ("Ice"), and 8,000 tables of suspected estazolam.

The haul could fetch about $1 million if sold in the local retail market.

During the raid, Police also found two long knives and seven wooden clubs that they suspect were used as weapons.
