Police seize $10 million worth of ecstasy

*
Hong Kong Police

Police have arrested a 47-year-old man and seized 30,000 suspected ecstasy tablets worth $10 million at the Hong Kong International Airport.

Officers from the Crime Headquarters of Kowloon West Region and the Narcotics Bureau stopped the man near the luggage-collection area.

They found the tablets wrapped around his body.

The man is being held for questioning.

Drug trafficking is a serious offence. Offenders face a $5 million fine and life imprisonment upon conviction.
