*
Fire Services Department

A No 3 alarm fire at Lee Uk Tsuen, near Ta Kwu Ling in the New Territories, was put out at 2.19pm. No casualty was reported.

The fire broke out on the hillside of Lee Uk Tsuen around 10.30 this morning and spread to a garage and nearby premises.

It was upgraded to a No. 3 alarm fire at 11.15am when a nearby computer component scrapyard caught fire.

The fire was brought under control at 1.14pm and put out at 2.19pm.

A total of 110 firefighters from the Fire Services Department used seven jets to fight the blaze. Two Government Flying Services helicopters water-bombed the scene.

No injury was reported in the fire.
