Airport Tunnel to be renamed Kai Tak Tunnel

Transport Department

The Airport Tunnel, connecting Kowloon City Road in Kowloon City and Kai Fuk Road in Kowloon Bay, will be renamed Kai Tak Tunnel from May 4, the Transport Department announced today.

 

The decision was made after having consulted the Kowloon City District Council and the public, the department said..

 

The renaming commemorates the former Hong Kong International Airport, commonly known as Kai Tak Airport, it added.
