Manufacturers, importers and other related parties in the tap business are encouraged to register their products with the Water Supplies Department's Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme.

Products registered will incorporate a water-efficiency label stating the level of water consumption to help consumers choose efficient products which conserve water.

Different-coloured labels will show the four grades of water efficiency, with Grade 1 the most efficient.
