The Highways Department is inviting tenders for the Central interchange contract for the Central-Wan Chai bypass project.

The works mainly comprise constructing a 220m tunnel section in Central at the west portal, an approach road to the tunnel, an at-grade slip road, bridge deck for the Rumsey Street flyover extension westbound carriageway and the eastbound slip road D flyover, as well as widening existing Man Yiu Street and road drainage works.

The works are due to begin in September and will be completed in January 2016. AECOM Asia Company has been appointed to design and supervise the construction works.
