2 companies win petrol station tender
*
Lands Department

The Lands Department has awarded the tender for two petrol stations to two bidders on a 21-year land grant at a total premium of $168.95 million.

A site at Area 22, Tai Po (Tai Po Town Lot No.205), was awarded to ExxonMobil (HK) at $131.9 million. Another site at Kam Tin Road, Yuen Long (Lot No.817 in Demarcation District No.110), was awarded to Petrochina International (HK) for $37.05 million.

The successful tenders were submitted on an individual basis for buying the two sites, which are existing, re-tendered sites for the development of petrol stations.

Five tenderers took part in the exercise, producing a total of nine tenders - seven for the sites individually and two for the two sites collectively as a package. The department awarded the two sites to the highest tenderers.
