Choi Yuen Tsuen villagers get allowance
*

Two households in Choi Yuen Tsuen affected by land resumption and clearance under the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link project have collected the ex-gratia cash allowance, the Transport & Housing Bureau said today.

So far, 140 households have registered for the cash allowance. Nearly 30 applications have been approved.

Villagers offered the ex-gratia cash allowances can contact the Rail Development Section of the Lands Department to collect the allowance.

The bureau said remaining cases will be handled as soon as possible, and encouraged affected villagers to apply for the allowance before the deadline at end of this month.

The relevant departments will continue to visit the villagers to understand their needs and render assistance. Details of the rehousing packages have been explained through newsletters distributed to the Choi Yuen Tsuen villagers.
