The Civil Aviation Department today approved an application from Cathay Pacific to raise fuel surcharges from $71 to $75 for short-haul flights and from $328 to $348 for long-haul flights in December.
It also allowed Nepal Airlines to maintain its fuel surcharges at $239.
The department considered changes in the price of aviation fuel, the justification airlines provide, and other factors like charges other airlines levy, in considering the applications.
