LPG price to rise
*
Electrical & Mechanical Services Department

The ceiling price of liquefied petroleum gas at dedicated filling stations will rise by up to 29 cents a litre on January 1, when prices will range from $3.91 to $ 4.31 a litre.

The Electrical & Mechanical Services Department today announced the price increase, which it said reflects movement in LPG international prices.

The local ceiling prices are adjusted according to a formula which comprises the LPG international price and operating price.

After January's adjustment, ceiling prices for filling stations at Hang Yiu Street, Ma On Shan, and Tak Yip Street, Yuen Long, will remain the lowest. The highest will be at Fung Yip Street, Chai Wan, and Ngo Cheung Road, West Kowloon.
