New taxi driver ID plates launch
*
Newly designed taxi driver identity plates

New design: All taxi drivers will display these new identity plates from March 1.

*

New taxi driver identity plates were introduced by the Transport Department today to enhance service quality and the professional image of drivers.

Drivers with valid taxi licences can get their new identity plates at the department's authorised agents. Details are available on the department's and the Quality Taxi Services Steering Committee's websites.

From March 1, 2010, all taxi drivers are required to display the new plates when providing services. Those who fail to do so will be subject to a fine of $2,000.
