Driving instructor licence ballot to be held
*
Transport Department

Due to the high number of applications, the Transport Department will hold a ballot September 19 to select applicants to take the private driving instructor licence test.

About 33,000 applications were received, with 24,000 for Group 1 (cars and vans), 6,000 for Group 2 (minibuses and buses), and 3,000 for Group 3 (trucks and articulated vehicles) licences.

Results will be published on the department's website September 19. Letters will be sent to applicants informing them of the ballot order number.

The department also said acknowledgement letters are being sent to all applicants informing them of the receipt of their applications. An individual application number is printed on the letter.

If an applicant does not receive the acknowledgement letter by September 15, they should call 2714 7023 or 2714 7323.
