Sham Tseng Interchange works gazetted
*

Improvement works at Sham Tseng Interchange have been gazetted and are set to start at the end of 2009 for completion by the end of 2014, the Transport & Housing Bureau says.

The proposed works include construction of a single-lane vehicular underpass beneath Tuen Mun Road and widening the slip road to a single three-lane carriageway. The junction of the slip road at the interchange will be made signalised.

Some sections of the underpass, carriageways and footpaths will be extended or closed. There will also be slope, drainage, landscaping and utility works.

People objecting to the proposed works should write to the Secretary for Transport & Housing, 16/F Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, by February 17.

The works plan is available for inspection at the Central & Western, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Mun District Offices, and the Tsuen Wan & Kwai Tsing, and Tuen Mun District Lands Offices.
