The Lands Department issued eight consents to sell units in uncompleted developments in the third quarter - seven for residential units and one for commercial units.

The seven pre-sale consents involved a total of 3,838 uncompleted residential units in Victoria Road, Tai Kok Tsui, Tsuen Wan, Sha Tin, Tung Chung and Yuen Long. They are expected to be completed by June to December 2009.

At the end of September, 20 applications for consent to sell uncompleted residential developments involving 8,340 residential units, and eight applications for consent to sell uncompleted commercial developments were pending approval.

Among the 20 applications, one development involving 825 residential units is expected to be completed in December. Another 14 involving 3,466 units will be ready in 2009, 4 involving 4,035 units will be done in 2010 and one involving 14 units finishes in 2011.
