Wetland Park designated a special area
*

The Town Planning Board has amended the approved Tin Shui Wai Outline Zoning Plan, reflecting Hong Kong Wetland Park's status as a Special Area under the Country Parks Ordinance and its "as-built" situation.

The board has also excised a proposed school site from the Comprehensive Development Area and rezoned it to Government, Institution or Community.

It also revised the notes of the Comprehensive Development Area zone to specify reduced development intensity and the requirement for an air ventilation assessment in the submission of the master layout plan.

The draft Tin Shui Wai OZP No.S/TSW/11, incorporating the above amendments, is now available for public inspection at:

* the Secretariat of the Board;

* Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin;

* the Tuen Mun & Yuen Long District Planning Office;

* the Yuen Long District Office; and,

* the Ping Shan Rural Committee.

Anyone can make representation in respect of the amendments to the board's secretary by December 27.

Copies of the draft plan are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. An electronic version is available here
