Kai Tak advance works gazetted
*

Roadworks required to start developing the southern part of the former Kai Tak Airport runway, including the new cruise terminal, have been gazetted.

 

The works include the construction of a 1,700-metre carriageway with footpaths connecting Cheung Yip Street with the cruise terminal and a park, upgrades to the Lam Fung Street-Wang Chiu Road and Sheung Yee Road-Cheung Yip Street junctions, and ancillary landscaping, water and drainage works.

 

Construction will start in 2009 for completion in 2012. For details click here.

* the Kwun Tong District Office Public Enquiry Service Centre, LG/F, Kwun Tong District Branch Offices Building, 6 Tung Yan Street, Kwun Tong; and,

Anyone wanting to object to the proposed works should write to the office of the Secretary for Transport & Housing, 16/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Central, by November 6.
